McSharry's Irish Pub
About This Spot
Stepping into McSharry's Irish Pub in Fairhope feels like finding a welcoming nook where time slows just enough to savor familiar company and good conversation. The warmth of the wooden interiors mingles effortlessly with the hum of friendly chatter, creating a relaxed atmosphere that invites both longtime locals and curious newcomers to settle in.
There’s a rhythm here that’s unhurried but lively—whether you’re enjoying the sunshine on the outdoor patio or drawn inside by the rich scents wafting from the kitchen. The occasional live music, filled with strings and even the soft whistle of a flute, adds a lighthearted soundtrack to the evening, encouraging smiles and easy camaraderie among guests and staff alike.
At McSharry’s, the food and drink feel like a natural extension of this comfort. The menu embraces the heart of Irish pub tradition without ceremony—think of hearty, thoughtfully crafted dishes that come with a sense of home. Plates arrive warmed and generous, often inspiring diners to dig in before a photo can be taken, drawn by the satisfying balance of flavors, like a perfectly spiced chili or a burger that tastes as fresh as the local produce.
More than just a place to eat and drink, it’s a spot where shared moments happen effortlessly: cracking open a cold draft, discovering the subtle tang of malt vinegar on fish and chips, or unwinding over a whisky bread pudding that feels like a gentle close to the night. The friendly chatter of the staff, the easy flow of conversation around the tables, and the simple pleasure of lingering in a place that feels both unpretentious and carefully lived in make McSharry’s a quietly special corner of Fairhope.

Shepherd's pie is a must get here! The photo is terrible, but the flavor is so good! Cheap drinks for the area as well. Nice outdoor patio/lounge area as well.

First time here for us. The food was excellent! The burger was cooked perfectly, juicy as can be, and all the produce fresh. The fish and chips were really good too- not overly greasy. The fish came with a malt vinegar sauce on the side that I thought was heavenly!

I usually take good picture but it was so good we dug right in. The fried pickles were the best I have had in years. The Salsa was really good and home made !!!! The Chili was really nearing and the spices so well balanced. At our table we had a Burger, a Reuben , Potato salad, the Corned Beef and the Sheperds Pie! Everything was fresh and so really amazing ! The service is great and the atmosphere is warm and it is a must visit when around Fairhope! We will visit again !

Sunday night has live music that was really fun. Lots of strings and even a flute. The staff also seemed to be having fun which makes it a great atmosphere. The food was fantastic - the fish taco was delicious.

2 inches of Fresh and handmade Reuben sandwich and sauce. Fries were not. Friendly service with Shelvy, Shannon, and Calum. Local pub. Came for the Irish band. Will come again.
